For nearly two years I worked on a French e-health platform: an embeddable appointment-booking widget for healthcare professionals, a patient-satisfaction module, and the design system unifying web and mobile.
The problem.
A booking widget lives inside sites you don't control, on machines you don't choose, for users who aren't all comfortable with digital tools. In e-health, every friction is paid for in appointments not booked. The product had to be fast, accessible, and behave identically whatever the host environment.
Precisely, here is my contribution on this project.
What I did
- 01
Appointment-booking widget
I built the embeddable widget: the full booking flow, restrained loading so host sites aren't penalised, and style isolation so it renders correctly whatever CSS the host page ships. It had to behave identically across integration, staging and production from a single codebase.
- 02
Accessibility and performance
I worked on keyboard navigation, ARIA roles, contrast and focus states, as well as the widget's weight and time to display. In e-health, accessibility isn't a nice-to-have: some patients depend on it to book unaided.
- 03
Survey module
I designed the module for collecting and analysing customer satisfaction: modelling questionnaires and answers, the REST collection API, storage, and reporting results back to the business teams.
- 04
React / React Native design system
I industrialised a design system and a shared reusable component library across web (React) and mobile (React Native): tokens, variants, states, documentation. The point was to stop rebuilding the same button three times and to keep the surfaces visually consistent.
- 05
UX/UI work in a regulated environment
I reworked the flows within the sector's constraints — health data, traceability, medical vocabulary — simplifying the interface without ever giving up the rigour the domain demands.
Where this product lives, and where it was built from.
Which country
Built for Alaxione Solutions, a French software vendor: the product serves healthcare professionals in France, with the accessibility and health-data requirements that come with it. I developed it remotely from Yaoundé.
